13 JANELLE PIERZINA (Wz1)

Janelle is the first person on this list from season 1, a season that was filled with great characters and excellent fights. Had this list been done before WzAS, I think that Janelle would easily have made everyone's top ten for being so representative of the actual Janelle. However, the performances of AS made certain characters shine and due to the absence of Janelle (by her disappearance) she has gradually drifted out of people's minds.
Janelle's story begins with Rachel and Chelsia. EVERYONE knows that these three are all very tight. They all came into the first season of warzone together but only a select few knew about their alliance. Myself, Jessica and Josh. Josh was taken out the first week and then Jessica and I decided that we were going to work with them instead of against them.
The first major storyline in Warzone was Dave. All during season 1 most confessionals about Dave were about how he was such a great social player and he had connections with everyone and he was great with challenges but he. needed. to. go. Janelle was the first person to make an alliance with Dave and she made a final three with him and Rachel. Janelle
used and
abused Dave. It wasn't an outright abusive allianceship but Janelle trashed him in the DR and talked about how getting rid of him soon would be great.
One of the defining moments for their alliance was during week 2 when Dave LET Janelle have the Coup power that they worked hard to unlock in the basement.
The distinct way that Janelle spoke in her confessional only adds to the ridiculousness of her character. The constant *flips table* *grabs weave* to illustrate her dislike for someone was a characteristic that Chelsia and Janelle carried throughout all of Warzone 1.
Anyway back to the story, Dave allowed Janelle to steal his coup power and this was the first of Dave's mistakes. He just willingly handed over the power that he was given and blindly trusted Janelle when she was one of the main people trashing him and adding to this threat level behind his back.
We all know how the story of Dave ends, Will wins the veto when I choose to take the immunity and Rachel nominates Dave due to the pressuring of her allies and her own agenda. Then, even after Dave was slapped on the block, Janelle used her vote nullify power to try and save him and keep him from not leaving. Janelle decided that she wanted to be a selfish bitch and not give Rachel the credit for booting Dave. So she tried to save him.
A writeup about Janelle would not be complete if I did not highlight her amazing competition abilities. During the first five weeks of the game, Janelle won 2 HOH competitions and X vetos. She won the first veto and the second HOH back-to-back and let everyone know that she was a force to be reckoned with.
Despite dominating the first half of the game, after winning the veto at the final nine, Janelle did not win anything else. She was so very close to winning the final four HOH and then lost the final four veto and was booted by me since I knew that out of everyone left, she had the best chance at winning the game if she made it to the final two.
Janelle's eviction at the final four led to, in my opinion, one of Janelle's defining moments: her dream about me. The dream can be read in full in this confessional thread:
bigbrotherwarzone.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=player4&action=display&thread=634As I stated above, there are many defining Janelle moments. However, for me, two stick out. I already discussed the dream, which I believe to be one. The second one is lesser-known.
During the first weeks of Warzone 1, Rachel and James became very close. They started their "Gemini Alliance" and flirted a lot. The second week of Warzone 1, Janelle won HOH and almost immediately slapped James on the block. For everyone that kinda knew about Rachel and James, this came as a shock. I mean, Rachel was one of Janelle's closest allies, why would she nominate someone that they both could use? Instead of going the route where she and Rachel could use James, Janelle decided to just nominate James in hopes that he would leave and Rachel would not be tempted to work with him. I always found this outright bitchiness and disrespect to the social bonds that Rachel (her ally) was making to be hilarious and describe Janelle 100%, earning her #13 on this list.
Sorry this took so long to post, my internet was down all weekend. The next two entries might be slower to be posted as well since I have exams on Tuesday and Thursday of this week.
CLUE FOR #12: Another great player from season 3.
