This fall, fourteen people will compete against one another in a strategic game of survival. They will compete in challenges, form friendships and alliances, and they will probably make a few enemies in the process. In the end, only one player can win the game. Will it be you?
What is The Council?
The Council is an online reality game that closely follows the Big Brother US format. Below is the basic layout for an ordinary round in the game.
Position of Power Competition -- Each round starts off with a Position of Power competition. The winner receives power for the week and is responsible for nominating two players for possible elimination.
Nomination Ceremony -- The Position of Power winner states their nominations.
Power of Veto Competition -- Following the PoP competition and nomination ceremony, all players compete in a Power of Veto competition. The winner of the PoV competition can either alter the nominations by removing one of the two players from the chopping block, or they can choose to leave the nominations untouched. If a player is saved, the PoP winner is responsible for nominating another player for elimination in their place.
Power of Veto Ceremony -- Players find out if the Power of Veto is used to alter the nominations or not. If it is used, a replacement nominee is named.
Council Challenge -- After the PoV ceremony, all players compete in The Council Challenge. This challenge determines who will be eligible to vote at the weekly elimination. The three players that perform the best will serve on “The Council” for the round and will be the only people placing a vote at the elimination ceremony. If a nominee places in the top three, they will name a player of their choice to serve on The Council for them. The PoP winner IS allowed to compete in this challenge for the right to serve on The Council, as well.
Elimination Ceremony -- Each round, one player will leave the game. At the elimination ceremony, each member serving on The Council will individually cast a vote to eliminate one of the two nominated players. The player who receives the most votes will be eliminated from the game.
A Live Game
**The Council is a live game. This means that the challenges, nominations, ceremonies, and all eliminations are held live. Results of these live events will be posted on the game forum afterwards for those who are unable to attend. However, if you are applying, be aware that you are committing to a live game.
